If you have read the post about our internship students, you maybe remember Sandra, one of the students. Today, she´ll present you Stockholm from her view, give you some insider tips and reveal you her favorite spots in the city.
Stockholm is a paradise for all the Hippies and Vintage Fashion lovers out there! Especially in Södermalm, there are many cool shops, but also when you stroll through Stockholm, you´ll find many cool stores. My favourites are POP, Beyond Retro, Pearl by APLACE and Stockholm´s Standmission second hand.
If you want to have fun with your friends or family, you have to visit the Gröna Lund. It´s an amusemet park on the waterfront and it´s really worth a visit! We´ve been there with my friend Selina and we had a lot of fun!
If you have enough time in Stockholm, I recommend you to go to the Rosendals Garden one day. The garden is one of Stockholm´s hidden gems! If you need a break between strolling through the gardens, sit down and have a coffee at the Rosendals Trädgård, a café in the middle of the garden where you can sit down, relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Don’t miss to pop into the little boutique before you leave.
The Old City Town, also known as Gamla Stan, is the heart of Stockholm. There are several beautiful churches and museums in Gamla Stan, including Sweden’s national cathedral Stockholm Cathedral and the Nobel Museum. Västerlånggatan and Österlånggatan are the district’s main streets.
Stockholm is well known for its beautiful, artsy subway stations. On every station, you´ll find a piece of art, whether it´s a painting or a kind of sculpture. The must-see subway stations are the Stadion, T-Centralen, Mörby Centrum and Solna Centrum. If you want to do a guided subway tour, you can book it here.

As Sweden is known for the typical Fika, which is a kind of a coffee break, you´ll find many cute cafés on every corner here in Stockholm. Just walk around the city and sit down in a café you like, but if you want some good tips, I can recommend the Pom & Flora Café, Drop Coffee, Café Pascal, Gast Café and Kaffeeverket.
